Our cat Zombie, aka GG (Gentle Giant), aka Kangaduck (because he's a jumper and meows like a duck), and who we call Baby or sometimes Pumpkin Pie -- or maybe just Cat -- and never by his actual name is a real sweetheart.

He is just a nice cat. He's very good natured and calm. He likes to be petted and snuggled.

Yet, when this guy goes outside he turns into a monster and picks on all the other cats. If he happens to meet Sausage in the hall, there will be this yowling loud enough to wake the dead. I'll run out knowing our guy is involved in the melee and he'll stroll in as if nothing has happened.

There's another unfixed male, father of Jelly Bean's kittens, who is as big as GG. We named the dad Mercury.

One evening when I was sick as a dog, I hear this yowling in the hall. I figured it was our guy and Sausage again, and went out in my jammies and socks to break it up. Nope, this time our baby was going at it with Mercury. They were so loud, another neighbor came out and shooed GG away. The other ferals were out and they think the only reason I leave the apt is to feed them and were clamoring about for food. The neighbor seemed to like the other cats, but not ours so much. But he is a Bully. If there's yowling, our cat is involved.

Today when I left, I reached the yard and see Mercury sitting at attention, Sparky was at ready, and so was Rufus. The other female ferals and the kittens were hanging around watching too. Our Baby, who is so sweet on the inside, was menacing over Fluffy. Fluffy had laid down in submission.

I scolded GG. He ignored me and chased Rufus around the corner. And he wonders why none of the other cats want to play with him.
