Scare the S&!# out of Mask

With my knee all boogered up it has been all I can do to get down the stairs and feed everybody -- sometimes as many as 12. Slowly the knee is getting better. Yay! But handling the stairs is slow especially when I have two cats weaving in and out between my feet. Anyway, I manage to get down, feed and while they are eating hurry back up only to be followed by one or two who get fed upstairs.
Our policy has been to feed our cat quality cat food, and buy the cheapest food possible for the ferals. But if any of the ferals take the trouble to come upstairs they can have some of the better quality cat food.
It turns out with Amazon coming to Israel they have cornered the market on our quality cat food. I must stress our guy has a very tender stomach and he can pretty much only eat one type of food. If he eats other things he's puking his guts out. Well, the type of food he eats has become unavailable in stores, again thanks to Amazon. Fine, we'll buy it from Amazon but it's not available at Amazon either.
That being the case, we have to be stingy with the quality cat food and the ferals don't get any even if they come upstairs. They don't know this yet, but what I'll do is start giving them sardines if they come up since going down yet again to give them a nice treat has been completely out of the question.
This morning I thought I heard a meow outside the door. It was a little early for feeding, but it didn't sound like our cat. I opened the door to be greeted by a horrible smell. Someone had pooped in the hall. Little Mask was crouched wide-eyed in the corner not moving. Our guy was lounging at the top of the stairs, but he had this wild in his eyes. Then Licorice peeked around the corner.
I scolded our guy for being a bully. I was scared Mask was hurt and went up to see if she was okay. She ran off as our guy sauntered into the apartment. Licorice immediately went up and sniffed the poop. I cleaned up the mess and gave Licorice and Mask a can of tuna.
Later went down and fed everyone.
