Bandit Gone

I haven't seen Bandit for at least five days. Instead of assuming the worst, like I always do, I'm assuming he got adopted. He's a beautiful kitten with long white fur and a black tail and mask, fixed thanks to the city of Haifa, and really sweet and loving. Who wouldn't want to have a cat like Bandit? I named him Bandit because of the mask, but then he stole my heart so the name really fit.

Now only three hoodlums remain: Dum-dum, Sausagette (who looks exactly like mom), and Licorice a long-haired black cat with some white markings.

Last night Charlie wanted out, it was after midnight. I open the door and there's the hoodlums snuggling together to keep warm. So cute. He wanted in about an hour later. I was wired for some reason and couldn't sleep. Called my sister in California. It was 3pm there and she was eating dinner. I guess she goes to bed about 5pm. Yikes, talk about getting old and I thought I was bad making bedtime around nine.

But then I wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep until 4am or so. Anyway, I was still up when Charlie wanted back inside and we tried to sleep on the bed. He slept, I got back up. Finally when I was able to go back to sleep, he snuggled up with me and when I rolled onto my back, slept on my chest

We had roast chicken for lunch and I took out the remains for the cats. I only fed two. Patch wanted some, but no Mask. Then Dum-dum wanted some too. For someone who looks around and can't find the dry cat food, she found the chicken pretty easy. As I was going back upstairs, Licorice and Sausagette darted past like they had seen a ghost -- food the last thing on their mind. A while back, Charlie darted past me as I went up the stairs. He actually used the wall as a springboard to jump around me. It was like he was totally spooked and didn't even recognize me. There wasn't anyone in the hall either. Maybe the hall is haunted, who knows.
