Pix to come later
29Nov18
I have a ton of pictures but when I tried to transfer them to this blog, they were too large and I don't know how to shrink them. At any rate, David needs to help me but he's been both really sick with allergy stuff and busy with school stuff so putting pix on this blog is that last thing on his mind.
There hasn't been a lot to report. For the last week or two, the critters have been good or just not around. When it rains they disappear. Otherwise a boatload of kittens are waiting for me in the morning. I get them fed and go around the corner and feed Patch and Mask.
Loper is still mothering her three kittens but Sausage has all but abandoned her four. I haven't even been seeing Sausage until the last couple of days. Two days ago she saw me coming home and came up with me, made herself right at home. She was sleeping on the couch belly up next to me when GG (his official name is Zombie but now I call him Charley -- of all the names we've tried on him he seems to like Charley the best -- so I might start using Charley in this blog -- we'll see). Well anyway, GG comes inside and he cannot stand Sausage. He hates her with a passion, probably because she brought all those kittens who are always downstairs blocking the way.
We tried to keep them calmed down and apart but we were watching Anne (with an "e") and forgot to pay attention. The next thing we hear is loud yowling and a banging around. I went to see what was up and GG had Sausage cornered. I distracted GG whose fur was all puffed out and Sausage ran into the bedroom under the bed. I locked her in there until GG could calm down.
Eventually we were able to get her outside without incident.
Yesterday afternoon she came up again. It was safe because GG was outside. Well after about 30 minutes or so, here comes GG. She sees him come in the door and quick runs to the bedroom under the bed. GG saw her, but I distracted him with petting. None the less, he goes in the bedroom and hops on the bed. I pet him some more and he calms down and goes to sleep.
We have suitcases under the bed and it's a good place to hide if you're a cat. Once Sausage is under the bed it is next to impossible to get her out. So I left the cats in the bedroom. About an hour later, I see Sausage creeping out in the hall her eyes are big. I quietly open the front door and she sneaks outside.
This morning when David came back from his walk, there was a Fluffy with him. GG was already here sleeping on the bed. I gave Fluffy a sardine and then she was ready to leave. I let her out and two of Sausage's kittens are at the front door. I've named them Bandit because he's a white cat wearing a black mask and he eats the other guy's food. I named the other one Licorice because she's mostly black. The other two that didn't come with are named Jelly Bean and Sausagette and they are both smaller than the other two.
Bandit and Licorice are at the door and Fluffy marches right by. The kittens are half in half out and can't decide to be brave and and come inside or what. For no reason, Fluffy whacks Bandit in the ass and moseys on downstairs. Bandit didn't even seem to notice. I finally close the door on them and gather up some food to feed the gang of hoodlums spawned by Sausage and Loper.
About mid-way down most of the gang glom onto my feet -- headed by Bandit. I can barely take a step without stepping on one. Much to my surprise, Bandit let me pet him, he has a very loud purr. Finally downstairs I feed them all, careful of Loper because she swats the hand the feeds her. Sausage was nowhere to be found.
Fluffy wanted more food. I rounded the corner and fed her (again) and the brats who don't seem like brats compared to the hoodlums who are eating us out of house and home.

Hope David get well soon! Awaiting pictures!
