Sausage has moved her kittens

28Aug18

This morning when David came back from his walk Fluffy and Sausage followed him up the stairs. Fluffy hissed at Sausage when she took the dominant position and ran for the food in the hall. David let Fluffy inside to eat, and up comes Mask. He fed her in the hall.

I was still in bed. He lay back down and we were talking when Fluffy started mewing. She has a squeaky meow and I should rename her Squeaker. But anyway she bugged us for awhile until we let her out.

When I got up and went down to feed the cats, Sausage met me on the stairs and said she wanted a sardine. I locked her in the apartment and went back down. No one was about. I called out for Patch, since she hadn't eaten. Up comes Cinnamon. I feed Cinnamon who is a big cat but afraid of everything. I don't understand why Fluffy is completely cowed by GG, but has no qualms going after Cinnamon.

I saw some movement by the apartment wall behind some vines. Ah-ha! Kittens. They used to be in a rubble of trash at the apartment building next door. It is common for cats to birth their kittens in one spot, then when they are older move them someplace else.

Went around the corner and fed Mask again, and up comes Patch. Fed Patch. Went back upstairs and gave Sausage and David their sardine. The only thing that shuts Sausage up is eating a sardine. After eating she explored different areas in the apartment and started with her croaky meowing again. I let her outside.

GG spent the night indoors, so he probably won't be back until later.
