Ok, she wasn't that hungry

Yesterday I spoke to my neighbor who loves cats and feeds the feral guys in the evening. She has named them too. For her Patch and Mask are Tom and Jerry. Those are good names because when they were younger they were like those cartoon mice. But they are both girls.

Anyway she couldn't figure out why Sausage was so hungry all the time and then one day noticed she was quite skinny and figured out she had been pregnant and had her babies. The babies I thought she could have eaten. Well, it turns out her kittens lived -- four of them -- and she didn't eat them after all. What kind of mother would eat her kittens?

She found out where they were hiding and took me over and showed me. They are quite adorable. One is the spitting image of -- wait for it -- Black Scrap. Hmm. Wonder who the father might be? No wonder he was hanging around here all the time. Hopefully, Sausage doesn't go into heat again any time soon.

Fluffy makes her way up here every once in awhile. She expects a sardine every time she comes up. They may be feral, but they're still spoiled. She's a total pest if she's outside while I'm trying to give food to everyone else. She looks at them, attacks, and then doesn't even eat the food. What is that?

GG is being good. (Knock on wood). Earlier this season he couldn't stand the air conditioning. But now he has a new spot that isn't right in the path of the blowing cold air and will be up here when it is on. When he and Fluffy are here at the same time, they eye each other carefully, but no major fighting has erupted. It's kind of like he's the big brother who likes to pick on his younger sister, and gets mad when she comes into his room.
