New Routines

Sausage has moved her kittens by the main entrance of the apartment. They hide behind some gas tanks and vines. Sausage has taken to guarding the entrance so that none of the other cats like Fluffy will come up. I kind of miss Fluffy coming up mewing about demanding a sardine. Only Sausage comes up for a sardine.
Even GG seems to be afraid of Sausage. He's more than twice her size but skirts around the entrance as fast as he can. I guess mama cats like mama bears are not to be tangled with.
This morning I fed the cats. Sausage came upstairs, and Mask greeted me followed by Fluffy and Patch. I fed Fluffy first, who seems to be able to eat outside now without coaxing. Then set some food down where Mask usually eats. Patch went for it, and Mask watches a second then swipes Patch's head out of the way. I fed Patch in another spot.
There's a little bowl for Sausage by the gas tanks that the neighbor brought down. It was turned over and I put a bit of food in it. I saw one of the kittens trying to eat big cat food, went upstairs and brought down some of the kitten food we had purchased. I put the kitten food in the bowl and went up and looked out the window. Instead of eating kitten food, the little guy tried to eat the hard grown-up cat food. He's probably going to get a tummy ache.
