Learning to be a House Cat
9Aug18
Fluffy is getting better about staying inside. She whines and whines but manages to calm down for a little bit. She will sit beside me and make me pet her, then there's something in her eyes and I can always tell, but she wants to bite me. I think its a love bite, but she has to learn not to do that.
A few days ago she actually fell asleep in the house. She sleeps on her back with her feet in the air. I've never seen a cat sleep like that.
Then, of course, GG doesn't like her around. Some days he will tolerate her, but when he's awake and she's whining with her squeaky little meow, he gets ready to attack. I was putting groceries away in the kitchen and GG hid behind a grocery sack watching Fluffy getting ready to pounce. We also received a package and GG laid claim to the box. It's a little cozy for him. When he's in the box he thinks he's invisible and keeps an eye out on Fluffy. Either that or he'll go to sleep.
This evening, I took David out for his birthday. I came back with some leftover meat for the cats and fed Patch and Mask, the only ones I saw. As we were going upstairs, I saw a tail and thought maybe it was mostly. At the top of the stairs I was greeted by a kitten who had a croak similar to Sausage, but I don't see how Sausage's kitten(s) could be that big and independent. Anyway this kitten had a Sausage voice but a meanness about him kind of like Scrap. Could be Loper's new kitten. I see her every once in a while hanging around black Scrap. Loper was so protective of her first kitten, but this one -- if it's hers -- is allowed to run wild.
