For two days I didn't see Patch, Fluffy, or Bag. Bag is irregular so I didn't worry about him, but Fluffy and Patch -- they're always around usually waiting for me. In the mornings I went out and called for them. The only two to arrive were Mask and Sausage.

I saw the kitten around. It actually has markings like Fluffy and from a distance I thought it was her. When he came up, he meowed and hissed at me.

One day missing I worry. Two days missing I assume the worst. Last night my neighbor knocked on our door asking if we had seen the kitten. I told her I saw it yesterday, and asked if she had seen Fluffy and Patch. She assured me they were downstairs right this instant. I pretty much eat dinner and put my jammies on and so didn't go down and look.

This morning I went down and sure enough there was Fluffy and Bag. Somebody else was already feeding Sausage. I went around the corner and Mask comes up and a few seconds later Patch. All was well with the world. Fluffy followed me upstairs and stayed for awhile. She actually managed to go into the other room, lie down on the bed, and sleep for five/ten minutes. Then she wanted to go out.

When I came back from my Thai massage, Patch greeted me on the walkway. I noticed a little something on her back at the base of her neck between her shoulder blades. It may be a bite mark. Oy! I went upstairs and got some honey, it is supposed to have anti-bacterial qualities and cats like to eat it. I came back down with food and put some honey on that thing.

David lectured me when I came back upstairs. This is why you can't become too attached. This is why they only live about five years. I am attached and I just can't just poof unattach myself.
