GG is after Fluffy -- again
7Jun18
Overall the morning feedings have been fairly routine. Fluffy and GG are upstairs and I can feed Bag in his bowl and Loper over by the tree. The new guy who David has named Sausage claims to be the hungriest of everyone, and before I feed the brats I have to feed him or he'll meow and pester everyone until he is fed.
I have gotten close enough to Sausage to see that he is still a kitten. Out of the black fur covering his head and ears, you can see little white eyebrows. I'll try and get at picture.
Patch and Mask both venture upstairs to partake of the food I've been leaving in the hall. They are both really skittish in the hall and any noise even on a different level they're gone.
Yesterday, GG needed to be given the rest of his deworming meds. All it involves is drops on the back of the neck. I had to put three tiny vials of the stuff on him. He came inside for his evening feeding, and I put on the first one. It didn't hurt, no pain, but it reminded him of the vet and he avoided the other two. After the second application he wanted to go outside. No more food, no more water. I got down with him by the door and got the third application on his neck and tried to explain we were all done. He wanted none of it and insisted on going out.
He didn't come back until breakfast. All seemed to be forgiven from the medicine yesterday. David was up and heard Fluffy crying at the door, so he convinced GG to come in and see me and he snuggled on my pillow. In the meantime, David let Fluffy inside.
Ever since Fluffy's traumatic ordeal, she is better, but has never regained her former weight. She is skinny and hungry all the time. Worms. We can't very well deworm her, being a feral cat and all. She can barely sit down and relax when she's inside. So she's eating us out of house and home.
Well, anyway, GG is happily snuggling with me then decides he wants to go back out. The bedroom door was closed, so I got up to let him out. Fluffy happened to be in the hallway and he attacked her. She ran and got away and for a few minutes things were calm until GG came after her again. Pouting, GG wanted to go. Instead I got Fluffy outside and let GG calm down with us. He was sleeping fine on his new spot -- a towel on the coffee table.
I had to go feed the others. Loper wasn't around this morning, but everybody else came -- including the new guy. Fluffy had her nose in everybody's food and she followed me upstairs inside the apartment which made GG mad. So I put food out for her in the hall. This time GG was insistent on going out. I made him wait a few minutes and opened the door. The first thing he does in the hall is look around the door for Fluffy. She was already gone. Somewhat disappointed, he moseyed on down the stairs.
