You'll Never Believe What Calico Did

Mornings have been pretty easy. In fact, the neighbor who likes cats has been feeding them. She told me they all gather around her wanting food. I know the feeling. Anyway, I'm debating if I need to continue in the mornings and if I should feed them later in the day.
This evening, I had to run to the store for some beans, and of course the cats wanted feeding. Well, I didn't bring any food and they insisted they were starving. They know not to go too much beyond the sidewalk into Calico's territory. I reached the sidewalk and they stayed back.
At the bus stop there was Calico working her area and she saw me and starting following. Her territory ends somewhere at the street that crosses into the grocery. I figured she would go so far and turn back. Nope, she darted across the street and tried to follow me right inside the grocery store. She almost got caught in the automatic door. I shooed her off and picked up my items, only to see her waiting for me outside. She followed me back, and for that I had to give her something.
Which involved trekking upstairs, grabbing cat food and a can of sardines and trekking back down. GG was outside and I gave him the food he likes which he snubbed. Fed Fluffy, Patch and Mask. They snubbed the food too and followed me over to Calico who was encroaching on their territory. I led Calico back to her territory, fed her and gave her a sardine plus another cat wanted some too.
Back to brat territory, they were waiting for me at the edge. They must have known I had something good. At any rate, everybody got a sardine including GG.
