I'm not the only one who worries
2Mar18
GG has been in the habit of staying outside all night. That certainly makes for better sleeping. But yesterday evening he came in ate, drank and went straight to sleep in the middle of the bed. When I went to bed, I had to scoot the little guy over. After awhile he got up and I thought he wanted to go outside. He started eating instead.
I lay on the couch and watched TV, figuring he'd want out when he was done. But he curled up with me and went back to sleep. I read for awhile then went back to bed. When I finally fell asleep, I heard this meow. I thought the cat wanted to go outside. He just wanted to come back in. When the air conditioner is on -- yes we have the air conditioner on in February -- we sleep with the door closed. We all slept cozy and comfy for a while until GG wanted up again. He still wouldn't go outside and ate. I went back to bed only to be reawakened by the cat. About this time he was ready for the great outdoors.
Because GG kept waking me up, I ended up oversleeping. It was nearly nine when I went downstairs to feed the guys. The guys have turned into two because Fluffy is still missing and Bag was already gone. I fed Mask and Patch. Patch lets me give him some pets but keeps that paw ready to swipe. Yesterday, I caught Mask off-guard and managed to softly touch her. She turned to me in shock, like I didn't turn into a puff of smoke. And that was a strange but not unpleasant sensation.
While I was eating lunch, there was a knock on the door. David opened it and it was the neighbor. She asked if we knew this cat and showed us a picture of Fluffy. She hadn't seen it for over a week and she is getting worried. Oh know. I was trying hard not to get overly worried about her. I know I worry too soon and usually the cat ends up being fine. Apparently Fluffy goes into our neighbor's house too. The neighbor has a cat that follows Fluffy all around and seems to adore her. I hope Fluffy's okay. She's kind of a pest but we love her.
