Cats on Parade

27Mar18 (afternoon)

We have started going to the butcher on Tuesdays because Thursday they were often out of chicken filet. Friday it's too busy. Sat they are closed. Sun is only half day. And Monday meat seems like holdover from what they didn't sell before the weekend. So now it's Tuesday and I always get a little treat for the cats.

Calico, the brazen little hussy followed me across the street but no further. I want to take a different route so we can be in alternative cat territory without her crossing the street. But David doesn't want to do that. Two of our food supply stores weren't open so I went to Supersol (aka emu) to pick up a potato for dinner. David went on home and Fluffy and Patch followed him all the way upstairs. GG was already home and scared Fluffy and Patch away, then GG left.

When I came home I was greeted by Calico who wanted her chicken livers, except David had taken them home with him which might be why Patch was willing to follow. I induced Calico past the sentry, past GG, past Fluffy and she came upstairs looked around. I knew there were some jealous kitties outside so I went down and gave everyone a chicken liver including GG who sniffed and turned up his nose. Came back upstairs and had to sit beside Calico while she ate.

When she was ready to leave, I went down with her to help her past the sentry. She didn't appreciate my help and was ready to take them on. Fortunately, I was able to convince them to leave her alone, no fur flew. Then Fluffy followed me upstairs. She's sitting licking herself on the couch right now. We'll see if she can stay longer than five minutes.
