The Regulars are Irregular
8Feb18
I don't know if it is spring, or the winter rains messed them up or what, but the regular colony has become extremely irregular. I used to could count on at least six for breakfast sometimes eight, and now -- well this morning it was one.
The good news is Patch is back.
I was so upset because he was gone and thought he went to kitty heaven. David told me I shouldn't become attached to these cats. But I can't help it. If you feed them on a regular basis, you get to know them and see their personality quirks, and they're so cute you want to just take them all home with you. Then you have to name them so other people know who you're talking about, and the next thing you know you're attached in a major way. So that when they're gone and you don't know what happened, if they're sick or dead or trapped or just on vacation. It hurts.
Maybe I'm going down too early, but I think it's around the same time every morning. When David comes back from his walk, Fluffy often comes up with him. Because of the problems between Fluffy and GG, I encourage Fluffy to come back down with me and see if anybody else wants to eat. This actually seems to work for Fluff who is extremely nervous.
These past few days she has been happily eating the food I give her without a lot of me having to stand around. Maybe Patch makes her nervous and that's why she always goes after him. Who knows. I cannot think of any reason why Patch in particular makes her nervous. Mask doesn't seem to make her nervous at all, and Mask is as big of a brat as Patch.
These cats are driving me crazy!
