Rain Delay

I'm really enjoying this rain. We get a few days of rain in the winter then the rest of the year is icky ole sunshine. We're talking a 10 month stretch of hot cloudless days, so when the rain is here I don't complain. The cats, however, don't like it so much. Well, GG doesn't seem to mind it, but he's another matter.
This morning, I went down and checked, and because of the rain, no cats were about. I got busy on other things and completely forgot to check again. David had some running around to do, and when he came back Fluffy followed him upstairs. Oh, feed the cats!
Since GG was sleeping happily on my bed and there were others to bed fed, I encouraged Fluffy to come down with me. I fed Bag, the brats, and Fluffy standing by her until she was interested in her food and went back upstairs.
Later, when we went out to do our grocery shopping for the weekend, I promised Patch (who David is convinced is female) and Mask that I would bring them something delicious. I bought some chicken livers -- enough for everyone -- and fed this poor cat that looks on the edge of death that was sitting on the edge of Calico and brat territory.
I fed the brats in their normal spot and out darts Calico right in their territory. She demanded feeding first and dared anyone to try and stop her. I gave her a liver and she snarfed down making unladylike snarfing noises. Then I fed Patch and Mask, at which time Calico was still hungry. She followed me back to her territory and I gave her another piece. There was still enough for Fluffy and Bag and even Loper who I rarely see anymore, but no one else was around.

I think right now I would enjoy 10 months of sun shine and warmth! I been cold to the bone! Lol ! BTW , you are so good to those kitties!
