Drowned Rats

25Jan18

The rain is lovely, but the cats hate it. Right now GG is inside snuggled up to David. He's good now, but he has bouts of cabin fever. GG should be grateful he has a nice warm place to crash.

In the mornings, I go out when there is a clearing and feed the brats and anyone else who is there: sometimes Fluffy, sometimes Bag. Morning feedings are easy when the cats are really hungry.

This afternoon we went to do our weekend shopping. There was a lull in the rain and GG wanted to go outside. Fine. When we got downstairs, GG was sitting on the chair by the stairs positions so it was out of the rain.

Sitting on the sidewalk was Sad Sack, this poor pathetic cat I've been seeing around. I had to feed it and went back up to get some food. To my surprise GG, didn't get jealous and didn't care even though I've seen him chase Sad Sack out of the territory. The poor cat was sopping wet and has lost an eye. I'm not sure he's going to survive the winter. I fed the cat and determined to bring back some chicken livers for everyone including Sad Sack.

On our shopping trip, it started to pour. By the time we got back it was pouring. No one was about except for GG who was ready to come back upstairs.

  1. I am very confident if Sad Sack hangs around your place, he will survive the winter!
