Revolving Door

Just when GG is thinking his life is back to normal some of those other cats down there come and mess everything up.

This morning GG was sleeping happily on the bed. I went downstairs to feed the cats and there were only the guys: Patch and Bag.  That was easy.

While David was gone returning the rental car, I helped him take some stuff to the car. Fluffy followed me upstairs. GG was still asleep and he wasn't bothered by Fluffy's presence at all. I gave her a sardine and she left.

Later when I ran an errand Calico followed me into enemy territory all the way upstairs. GG was still sleeping. I gave Calico a sardine. When she was finished GG had woken up and was demanding to know what was going on. They squared off, little Calico was ready to fight GG who is at least 3x bigger than she is. GG is a lover not a fighter, and he hurried outside. Now he's mad a me because let some strange feline in the house and fed her a sardine.

Calico ate and kind of left. She wanted an escort back through enemy territory to her own familiar space. I obliged. Patch watched all of this and wanted a sardine too. I told him to come on upstairs. He waited at the bottom of the steps and wouldn't come up, but I left the apartment door open and put out a sardine for anybody who wanted it. Sure enough, a few minutes later there's a Patch in the house eating the sardine. He was too nervous to stay, ate and ran.

I hope GG doesn't stay mad, I need to give him some of his favorite food when he comes up again. Poor guy, didn't get any sardine. If he would have stayed, I would have given him one.

  1. I wish I was there to see you escort Calico thru enemy territory! GG , hopefully will forgot the memory of the intrusion of a "strange Cat" ! My cats when they were young would always square off against each other, now not so much,
