Naughty Fluffy
3Dec17
Friday, David and I wanted to do something and GG kept bugging us. This was early afternoon, so we encouraged the cat to go outside. Well, GG was all offended and didn't come back again for dinner. He also didn't come around for breakfast. He returned around 10 o'clock on Sat. He must have been exhausted because mostly he slept all day, and all night and didn't leave again until 5 this morning. He didn't use the bathroom that entire time.
This morning when I fed the cats, I couldn't help but notice the expensive cat food is have a positive effect on Fluffy's fur. It seems puffier and shinier. As usual she had to put her nose into everybody else's food. She attacks Patch for no reason. Mask attacks Patch all the time in play. Fluff attacks Patch in earnest. I don't know why these girls keep picking on Patch.
Instead of finally settling on a dish, she followed me upstairs and came inside. GG had already come back from his morning sabbatical and was sleeping the bed.
Any cat who comes up deserves a treat. I had some leftover sardines in the fridge and gave a piece to Fluffy. Well, GG loves sardines and he wanted some too. I gave him the most. He has a huge jealousy problem, and wants to be the only cat up here, and wanted to go outside and pout. I was afraid he wouldn't come back until the next day, so I picked him up and took him to the bedroom while Fluffy continued to eat. She had her choice of healthy cat food and Mikky D's cat food. She chose Mikky D's.
While she was eating, I pet GG and talked nice to him. He settled back down. When Fluffy was finished eating -- well, let's say, she can't calm down in the house -- I picked her up and put her on the soft blanket on the sofa. I don't think she ever felt anything so soft before and she kind of liked it; but nervous Fluffy couldn't stay and I let her outside. She wants to stand at the door so that I can't close it. Not wanting GG to leave, I went out into the hall with Fluff and closed the door. Sat down on one of the steps and she wove in and out of my legs and through my arms. I tried to settle her down and pet her, but she swiped at me and drew blood. Time to go in and leave Fluff to her own devices.
It was a nice day, and I decided to take a walk. When I came back, Fluffy was laying on her back alongside the wall of the apartment soaking up some sun. She shot up when she saw me and insisted on following me upstairs again. She hung out by the door not letting me close it. Sort of in and out, back and forth. She was still sort of feisty in a cat-scratch sort of wayI gave her a little Mikky Ds in a bowl and set it outside. She wasn't that hungry and sniffed at it but didn't eat. I took the opportunity to shut the door on her.
Fifteen minutes later or so, GG wanted to go out too. I hope he left because he wanted to catch some rays and not because he's mad at me for flirting with another cat. A cat he barely tolerates, no less.
