Maybe it's the new moon

The cats have been acting crazy. Or should I say crazier than usual.
Last night GG came up and watched TV with us, but it was like he forgot where he was and who we were. I have an old yoga mat that turns out to be the best cat scratching post ever. We have it rolled up by the door and GG likes to lay on it and sharpen his claws. Well, last night instead of going for the yoga mat he went for the couch. We caught him and put him on the mat, and it was like, "Oh, yeah, I forgot."
Then he always jumps up on the desk so David can pet him. He was looking at the desk and meowing, and David said, "come on," and it was like GG didn't know what he was talking about.
Finally GG settled down and fell asleep on the couch between David and myself, and around midnight wanted to go outside. Except I opened the door and he didn't want to go outside. He wanted something. He had food, he had water, he couldn't settle down and finally left.
The morning the same thing. Usually he will come in, eat and sleep. This morning he seemed agitated, didn't seem to care for his food. Eventually he came to bed and sat, but wouldn't relax and snuggle like he usually does. He wanted to go outside. Fine. David went for his walk and GG came back up with him, but he wouldn't come into the house.
When I went down to feed the cats, there was no GG. Yesterday there was only the brats and Loper and her kitten. This morning Bag greeted me. Then comes Patch. I followed him around the corner and Mask appeared. I fed the brats but they didn't seem to be interested in their food. Patch followed me back like he was going to come upstairs but he was afraid to go past Bag.
The groundskeeper threw away all my plastic cat bowls. I can't blame him. I try to keep them nicely situated but somehow they end up all over the lawn.Loper was wanting some food and wanted to be fed by the tree, but her bowl was gone so I put food on the sidewalk. That's how most people feed the cats anyway.
Everytime Bag saw me, he would dash away. Mask appeared and started eating his food.
I gave up, everybody had a share if they would simply eat it. Let them figure it out.
