Fluffy returns along with the drama

12Dec17

Yesterday coming home from some errands, I was accosted by the brats. No surprise there. They followed me to the apartment and I went upstairs to get them some food. When I came back down, Loper and her kitten, jumped out of the tree and wanted food too. I managed to feed everybody, but GG was outside and jealous. He won't touch the food outside though. He wanted to come upstairs and eat but some people were leaving the apartment and they scared him so he remained outside.

That evening around dinner time, I decided to look in the back and see if GG was still out there. Sure enough, he saw me at the window and came running up, meowing loud all the way. He was all excited to be inside but eventually ate and fell asleep on the couch where we were watching TV. He was still asleep when we went to bed but a few minutes later he realized we were gone and joined us. First he picked on David, then me, settled on a pillow and we all fell asleep. Somewhere in the night he managed to lay crosswise so that his head was on the pillow and the rest of his body was underneath me. Who knows how long we slept like that, but I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep knowing I might be squishing a cat. I tried to get him to move but he wouldn't budge. He would make this little groaning noises like, "leave me alone."

He decided to go outside around 4am. The days are colder so David is taking his morning walk later. GG still hadn't come back inside. I decided the other cats needed to be fed, but went in the hall and looked out the window, didn't see any. I decided to feed the brats at least, but before I could go further, here comes Fluffy trotting up the stairs.

Since GG wasn't home, I figured it would be a good time for Fluffy to come inside and eat, and maybe make herself at home. I was able to close the door while she was inside and after eating she peeked into some of the other rooms. I was starting to feel guilty about the other cats and determined to feed them. Fluffy followed me down the stairs.

Only Bag was waiting. He was hungry, but of course Fluffy who already ate has to get into his food. He didn't get angry, they gave each other a head caress. I went to another bowl for Bag, and Fluffy followed, she followed me as I fed the brats, and GG appeared.

She followed me back upstairs. GG stayed downstairs but came up a few minutes later when David got home. GG is so jealous, I decided the best thing to do would be to coax Fluffy to leave, but she wouldn't go. I sat with her in the hall and petted her. One of the neighbors left and I thought that would scare her away, but she recognized a fellow cat lover and actually looked into her apartment like she was ready to go in. A few minutes later the old woman who hates cats left and Fluffy ran downstairs. I heard her tsking and shooing at Fluffy, and then went back inside to assuage his feelings.
