It's always something

Well, for the past two mornings there has been no Mask. Patch seemed a little lost without his sister. I even went out yesterday afternoon looking for her. I thought perhaps she had been pushed out of her territory by another cat possibly Fluffy. I had heard some cats yowling and I had concerns one of those cats might be someone I knew. Even though David warns me to stay out of cat fights, I went down to see what was going on.
Fluffy was lying on the sidewalk, and when she saw me wanted food. GG saw me and made a run for Fluffy. I interfered and calmed GG down who in turn decided to go after Black Tail. With GG distracted I went upstairs and Fluffy followed. She follows right at my ankles, sorting weaving behind, in front, around the sides. I'm very careful because I don't want her to trip me.
Anyway she came up the stairs and was eating. I made the mistake of closing the door simply because GG could come up and starting a hissing match. That freaked her out, and I opened it and she ran out. I went down to apologize for closing the door and give her a little piece of meat, she followed back up and ate some before leaving. As she was going downstairs, GG was coming up. They glared at each other as they passed but no words were exchanged.
This morning I peeked out the window and saw Fluffy and Bag cuddling. They heard GG meow and come up and the next thing I knew Bag was staring up at me as I stared down at him. Sweet cuddling was over, feeding time begins.
GG happily eating upstairs, I went down and fed Fluffy then Bag. I went around the corner and met Mask. What a relief. Up comes Patch, the brats are together again. I fed Patch in his usual spot only to find Fluffy come and start eating Patch's food. I put food out for Mask in her spot and some on the ground for Patch. Instead Patch follows me back to Fluffy's bowl. She ate that up fast and I give him some food in her bowl. Fluffy comes back and retakes her original bowl. So Patch and I go back around the corner and I fill up his bowl so he can finally eat.
We've been noticing Loper's kitten showing a lot more independence the past few days. But this more there was no Loper, no kitten. Only Black Tail who growls at me to feed her and then hisses as I put food in her bowl.
