Some Cats Just Never Learn
27July17
Morning feedings are about the same. Fluffy and Bag are lying in the back yard, sometimes right next to each other and other times about 3 feet apart. Patch and Mask are hiding around the corner. The only wildcard is if Loudmouth will be around or not. Yesterday he was around, and if there has to be fed first. He’s so loud, a kid from another apartment came out and fed him too. His lungs got him two feedings. Today no Loudmouth.
Fluffy and Bag have learned I’m going to feed them both. They don’t freak out when one bowl is filled first and one cat can start eating 10 seconds before the other one.
When I finished with the loving couple, I saw Patch peering around the corner and Mask came marching up. Patch doesn’t understand the concept of sharing, and we go through this every single morning. I’ll feed Patch first – only because his little head is in the bowl much faster than Mask’s. Then I’ll go a little distance away to feed Mask, and Patch will follow and want that too. So, okay, he can have Mask’s food and Mask can eat out of the first bowl. Today Patch swiped at me as I was filling Mask’s bowl. He didn’t touch me, but I scolded him nonetheless. Well, I gave Mask the second bowl, and Patch was acting like he didn’t get any food when his bowl was right there. I put a little bit of food on the ground and he ate that. What a brat!Som
