Quite the Little Kitty Drama
28July17
Well, Bag is gone again. I don’t know if he and Fluffy had a fight, or if sometimes he’s just a runaround tom cat. Fluffy greeted me at the bottom of the stairs and I saw a black cat already eating out of Fluffy’s bowl by the tree. For a moment I thought it was Bag but no it turned out to be Mostly Black Cat with a tiny white tip on the end of it’s tail. Up comes Loudmouth demanding to be fed. I noticed the maintenance man had thrown away the kitty bowls by the entrance, and all that was left were the two bowls under the tree – and Mostly Black is eating some delicious soft food out of one.
Now Mostly is normally a gentle, shy cat, but her food must have been pretty good because she hissed at Loudmouth as he came near. A pretty brave thing to do. I fed Loudmouth, and poor Fluffy didn’t have a bowl. I figured the brats’ bowls were still available, there’s three bowls because sometimes Loudmouth is over there too demanding first bites.
I found Fluffy a bowl, and fed her on her side of the territory boundary. Patch and Mask demanded feeding first.with the usual, “me first,” “no, me first,” I want both bowls of food.” Then went back around the corner with Fluffy waiting for me not having touched her food. Fine, I picked up the food and brought it to the entrance and put it under the chair where she waits for me tail in the air.
I had some trash with me, so I finished taking out the garbage only to come back and find Fluffy waiting for me not having touched her food. By this time Mostly was finished. Okay, I took her food under the tree, and with only minor threats from Loudmouth to leave the food he was still munching on alone, Fluffy finally began to eat. I guess eating under the tree is her spot and only spot.
