Kitties recognize me by sound

22July17
Instead of clomping down the stairs in my sandals, I wore different shoes for the morning feeding. Looking out the window, I saw Bag and Fluffy cuddling. So cute! Got a couple of pictures. Even when I reached the ground floor and went outside to look at them, they only moved enough to look at me: “Who are you? And why are you looking at us? It makes us uncomfortable to be looked at.” Didn’t even recognize the bag of cat food I was holding. I know cats don’t see well during the day, but they didn’t recognize my form, didn’t recognize my scent. I said, “Hi, guys.”
“Oh, it’s our morning feeder,” and they came up to greet me. Well, Fluffy did. She comes so close yet won’t let me touch her. I put food in her dish, but she let Bag have it, and she ate out of Bag’s normal dish. I guess that’s Fluffy being good to her man.
Haven’t seen Loudmouth for two days. I thought he was going to be a regular, but comes and goes. He probably has a regular feeder and when that person is gone, comes to me. Went around the corner looking for the brats. Patch came running, but no mask. Somebody either out of misplaced kindness or some kind of cruelty filled their bowls with nuts: almonds, cashews, walnuts, etc. I’ve seen other people feed cats bread. Cats like meat, they eat meat, they’re carnivores. Meat, only meat.
