If I Could Talk to the Animals

7Sep17

The last few morning feedings have been fairly routine. Interloper and her kitten seem to be new regulars. Bag, Patch, and Fluffy are hesitant to allow Loper into the group and they have come right in her face to intimidate her to leave. The skinny mom who needs to feed her baby refuses to be intimidated. And to a certain extent the others are okay with her in that there is no hissing, yowling, scratching, and flying fur. Mask wasn’t around to pick on her big brother this morning, and I kind of worry when I don’t see her. But she appeared later. Both Mask and Patch are looking well fed and I know it’s not entirely from me.
This afternoon as I walked along the sidewalk that the brats patrol, Patch greeted me and said in kitty-language that he was hungry. I told him he was getting quite large and didn’t look hungry to me at all. He insisted he was hungry and followed me to the apartment and said he would wait downstairs while I got him some food. I acquiesced and brought him down some food. As I was feeding Patch, Loudmouth appeared from nowhere as he often does and started eating Patch’s food. So I took Patch over to another bowl and filled that up only to have Loudmouth come and start eating that. Patch has figured Loudmouth out and went over to the first bowl and ate his dinner.
