Feeding the Loving Couple

Sat 8July17
It was a coolish morning. I clomped down one flight of stairs and looked out the window. Bag and Fluffy heard my steps and were coming up to greet me. When I reached the ground floor, Fluffy as usual waited under the lawn chair, tail in air. I told her hello, and she meowed back. On the other side of the door sat Bag staring at me like he usually does. They both always questions in their eyes, but I can’t discern what the questions are. Yesterday when I fed them, Bag ate first and Fluffy waited until I was gone to start. Today, Fluffy ate first and Bag waited until I was gone. Eating may be a vulnerable time for cats and when they eat they often look over their shoulder. It’s possible Fluffy and Bag look out for each other so they can eat in relative peace and safety.
I haven’t seen Orange lately, not even lying out in the window like he usually does. It was worrisome when he was picking on Fluffy and Bag, now it’s worrisome that he’s gone. But he’s a house cat with a home and at least somebody makes sure he is well fed.
