After 2 Days of Consistency
Chaos.
Monday 21Aug17
Two mornings in a row, I feed the cats without incidence. They seem to be understanding the routine. Two mornings in a row I gave Fluffy two little strokes on the head. She didn’t burn up, she didn’t turn into dust, she didn’t get put in cage – or whatever her fears are of human touch. This morning she was like, “No! No! No touching. How dare you try and touch me!”
Okay fine. I go around the corner to feed the brats and just as they are starting to chow down, they hear a rustling in the bushes and run away. I went over and saw Black Tail peering out. I haven’t seen her in a long time. Well, Patch and Mask wouldn’t eat with her nearby so I moved their food farther away and gave some food to Black Tail. There’s enough food for everybody, but still no eating.
I noticed their water needed freshening so I did that and by that time Loudmouth was done. He came up and rubbed against my leg and made me pet him. I’m not exactly sure how feral that cat is. He may be somebody’s pet and is just coming around for extra food. Because he is so comfortable around humans. At any rate he plopped himself down and stretched out along the sidewalk and wanted me to pet his belly. He even started purring. So I obliged for a few minutes. When I stood up Fluffy was laying on the sidewalk in the same manner. Her eyes said, “I want some of that too,” but when I came over she hurried off.
