Loudmouth

Early Afternoon
Loudmouth is a big cat that looks like an American shorthair. He will let me pet him, and he is called Loudmouth because he meows really loud and keeps on meowing. He caught me coming home and knows I’m good for a nosh, and started demanding food. Well, I can’t exactly pull it out of my ass, and I told him to wait while I went upstairs and got him food. I invited him up but he stayed on the ground floor and meowed at me the whole time. I hurried down and was going to feed him right by the door, but Bag gave me a look like, “Not in my territory you don’t.” So I took the food around the corner and fed him by the bushes where another cat was waiting – hungry too, of course. I fed Loudmouth and put out some food for the other cat. This cat was terribly skittish and wouldn’t come anywhere close to me, and thought the only food available was Loudmouth’s food. As I tried to show the cat its food, Loudmouth took over and started eating that, and then it ate Loudmouth’s food. They really don’t seem to understand when I see their little faces, they get fed.
Late Afternoon
On an excursion to the store, my husband and I came upon a cat we haven’t seen before. It looked like a mangled up Fluffy, its fur all gnarly and missing one eye. Poor thing. I fed it, but it didn’t eat. When we got back from the store it was still there. It had the look of death. So sad to see little kitties like that.
